CHANGE on Mon. Dec. 29

Due to the Caren Classic boys varsity hockey tournament at The RINK, there is NO hockey practice for TGHA's Initiation, House and 12U teams on Mon. Dec. 29.

Equipment Needed ASAP

Help!

TGHA's equipment loan closet is low on some important items....especially since we plan to welcome visitors on Jan. 5 and some new beginning members for the second half of the season!

Please look to see if you have any TGHA loaner equipment in your home that is no longer in use, or if you have any of your own gear that is no longer in use and you are willing to donate. Donations can be dropped off in Rick's Room at The RINK whenever you are in that area, or contact me or Matt Ulinski (257-5600) to schedule pickup (or dropoff at another location).

We especially need HELMETS and GLOVES and ELBOW PADS and STICKS.

Thanks for your help with our efforts to encourage more girls to experience the great sport of ice hockey!

Cornell Women at Home

The Cornell women's hockey team's first games in January have changed since the original schedule was released.  They face the Providence College Friars at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday Jan. 4 and Monday Jan. 5 at Lynah Rink.

Note to Cub Club Members: This schedule means your big sisters are arriving back in Ithaca during the holidays.  If you are in town, it may be a good time to invite them to join your family for an activity as they will be practicing and playing but not studying during much of the month of January when Cornell is not in session.

P.S. You may know that college hockey schedules are developed years in advance.  These two games were likely set so that our daughter Maura (who played for Providence in 0506 and 0607) could have two "home games" during her senior season.  Maura now plays for the UMass women's club hockey team that is currently ranked third in the ACHA that will hold its national tournament in March at the ESL rinks in Rochester, NY. Breana Schwarz, who began her hockey career with TGHA before moving to the Seattle, is a freshman at Providence who is on the roster.
