Open House at CHFD Today
Cayuga Heights Fire Station is having an Open House on Saturday Oct. 4 from
11-4. TGHA uses their meeting room for many of the year's board
meetings. We appreciate their generosity!
IYB Celebrates with
Support the Friends of the Ithaca Youth Bureau and come out to a fun night of
dancing by the lake and live music with Radio London! WVBR radio station

“Dance in the Park” featuring live music from popular local bandd
Radio London on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Stewart Park Large Pavilion, from 7
p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
In the tradition of a
sock hop, move your feet to rock, swing and anything else that taps your toes.

Spread the word to prospective new players you know!
Attached is a flier about all these events; make copies to post or give to
friends. If you have a location for a large size colorful poster about
girls hockey or an idea for how to publicize hockey for newcomers, let Mary
know. THANKS

Take a Shot at Hockey Sun. Oct. 12 and Sun.
Oct. 26
FREE!! The RINK,
Boys and girls (ages 4-10) are invited to try on hockey equipment and take the
ice with IYHA and TGHA coaches to experience the ‘coolest game in town’.
Arrive at 8:30 a.m. for the 9:00 a.m. ice time. Parents will need to sign
in and should stay in the rink lobby during this fun introduction that will end
at 10:00 a.m. It’s not necessary to know how to skate, and it’s OK to

Try Girls Hockey Mon. Oct. 20
FREE!! The RINK 6:30 p.m.
For girls only (ages 4-12) who would like to try on hockey equipment and see
how they like learning to skate and play hockey. On ice starts at 7:00
p.m. but attendees should come at 6:30 to get into equipment and hear an
introduction to TGHA. Free and fun!
Open House Mon. Oct. 27
6:30 p.m. at The RINK brings together newcomers with continuing members of TGHA
and the coaching staff. Refreshments, door prizes, season kickoff! Hockey
equipment isn't worn at Open House; wear comfortable clothes and hockey skates
for this annual gathering of everyone connected with TGHA.

her feelings about being a hockey parent due to the national presidential
