Megan
Shull Award Nominations Due Wednesday March 25
Each
year TGHA honors a supporter of girls' hockey with the "Megan Shull
Award". This award is given out at our annual banquet that will be
held on Tuesday March 31st this year.
The criteria for the award and a brief description are on the nomination form
below. (P.S. Each year the TGHA President(s) has the chance to
award "Golden Pucks" to other leaders, coaches, parents since it
takes many volunteers to run TGHA and all help in ways that are needed.)
The Megan Shull Award Nomination Form 2008-2009
Season
Criteria:
This award will be given to a truly
remarkable and outstanding person who has:
1. Demonstrated by his or her character,
actions, commitment and enthusiasm special qualities which have significantly
benefited girls hockey in this community;
2. Inspired others with a boldness to
dream of goals;
3. Smiled and applauded the achievements
of all.
This award shall be a gold colored medal
surrounding a Susan B. Anthony dollar. The medal shall be presented to
the recipient with a ribbon that symbolizes the colors of TGHA. Just as
Susan B. Anthony led the way for women to vote, TGHA has created the
opportunities for young women to play hockey in our community. On the
back of each medal TGHA shall inscribe the name and brief remarks. In
addition, a plaque will be placed on the wall of the home of TGHA, which will
honor all those who have shared this recognition. It is envisioned that
this award shall be given only once a year with thanks, appreciation, smiles
and applause of TGHA.
