Bowling on Wednesday

Today's Bowling Party with the Big Red women's hockey team is for all who are in Initiation and House as well as other Cub Club members who are active with their big sisters on the team.  Since we have about 8 new families this month, they may want to get details from Wayde Whittaker, wmw8@cornell.edu.

Tonight's Bowling Plans for Cub Club – note from Wayde Whittaker

Don't forget, tonight is our first Cub Club event of the year!

Join us for bowling with the Big Red women at Helen Newman lanes on
the Cornell campus. The fun starts at 6:30pm and includes free
bowling, pizza, and drinks all brought to you courtesy of the Cornell
womens hockey program.

Parking is available behind Appel commons across from Helen Newman.
Please call me at 327-1588 if you have any questions.

This is a fantastic, fun, and popular event so we hope to see
everyone there. You're sure to have a great time and a lot of laughs
while bowling with your Cornell big sister.

The Cornell women play at home this Friday and Saturday so this would
be a great time to make plans to come watch and support your big
sister this weekend. As always we are looking for stick girls and
little bears for these games so if you are interested please let me
know.

Thanks,
Wayde Whittaker

Jan. 20 Practice

Lynah's regular Tuesday practice schedule returns; 7:45-9:15 p.m.!

Adult Education Week

Our governing organizations (USA Hockey and NYSAHA) are committed to Adult Education.  They provide associations like TGHA with resources---and with a mandate to participate---for the education of  parents and other adults who support the girls in our programs.

This year there will be four sessions offered over three days (Jan. 26, 27 and 28) adjacent to practices.  The content will be tailored to the adult's players' ages and hockey level, but if you need to attend a different one due to scheduling issues, that is fine, too.  One adult from every family is expected to attend one 20-30 minute session.  We hope it will be worthwhile for you to spend this time with Mary and Dave, this year's TGHA co-presidents. Please ask us questions before, during or after the session.  Thanks for your anticipated cooperation with this request for meeting attendance.

Gimme Coffee Sales

Fundraising chairs Barb Horton and Liz Wood thank everyone who participated in the coffee sale in November and December.  It was a successful program again this year and they hope everyone is enjoying their hot coffee these cold days.  They are making plans for another fundraiser which may appeal to the girls more and has been shown to be easy and tasty--chocolate bars!!  Stay tuned.

This year's top sellers were Marlena Doerr, Team Ulinski, and Becky Cameron.  The 19U team had the highest percent of participation and 14U the highest volume of sales.  Congrats to the top sellers who will also be recognized at the TGHA Banquet in the spring.
