35th Anniversary News

The first meetings to organize Tompkins Girls  Hockey Association were held in late October 1972 planning for the first ice time on November 18!

At Open House we hope to distribute special 35th Anniversary patches to be sewn onto jerseys to be worn while playing during this season.  They are free for each player.  We will also be selling window decals for your car(s) with the same 35th Anniversary logo (designed by Krystalyn Yonkin's older sister!) for $5.00 each (which will help cover the cost of the patches).

Follow this link for an article written about TGHA by USA Hockey's writers and posted on the Girls/Womens section of their web site:

See Everyone Monday

Open House is for everyone---it's our main event of the year where everyone mixes---brand new girls thinking about playing, those who are already registered as newcomers, continuing members (some registered, some still needing to finish their paperwork), and the players who have already had a month of practices and games.  Lots of fun and fellowship!

6:30-8:00 p.m. at The RINK

Ice time starts at 7:00 p.m.---street clothes and hockey skates are worn, but newcomers who are just

learning to skate might want to wear whatever gear makes them feel safe and comfortable (helmets, gloves, shinguards)

Announcements will occur in the lobby at 6:55 p.m. Be there!
