Welcome to Newcomers
At this
time of year TGHA offers a hearty welcome to the new players and their families
as we register girls as beginners in Initiation as well as at all of our other
House and Travel programs. We hope that communication through TGHA All
messages and through messages from their teams will help everyone feel a part
of TGHA. Anticipate at least one message a week, and some like this one
that may need you to make a hard copy to post at home. Get a yahoo ID for
yourself so you can log into the yahoogroups site and
access the Message Archives. The TGHA web site is also updated regularly
at www.ithacagirlshockey.com.

Registration Update and Fees Announced
September
15-17 was a busy time for TGHA as travel teams had Team Formation, TGHA joined
with IYHA for 'Registration Day' and the board met.
Attendance was strong at all of these events (except among 17-19 year olds).
Note: there are many more chances for girls to register this season: by
mail, by contacting Registrar Cathy Long before a preseason ice time (cel3@cornell.edu, 257-4005), by attending
Try Girls Hockey or Open House.
It was
decided to have three travel teams instead of four so ice times (preseason and
regular season) have been adjusted; for all of TGHA teams; use
today's information not what was distributed last weekend.
16U and 19U
are a blended team competing as both a 16U state tournament bound team and a
19U non tournament bound team. 12U is planning to play as a 13U non state
tournament bound squad. Additional home ice times were added to each
team's schedule which has affected fees (but is seen as more convenient than
away games!).
Initiation
$210 (Full= twice a week from Oct. 29-March 6)
$135 (Half Season or Half Time)
$75 (Half Season and Half Time)
House $375
Recreation
$425
13U
$875
14U
$975
16U TB $975
19U NTB $875
14U and 16/19U have two practices per week and 20 home games. 13U has two
practices per week and 15 home games. Each team has one tournament fee covered
by registration fees. (19U NTB players will be
participating in the majority of the 16/19U game schedule as well as all
practices.)
Initiation,
House and Recreation have two weekend times per season; Recreation practices
once weekly but the fee is higher than the twice weekly Initiation and House
since it is anticipated that there will be fewer girls on the ice and team
environment.
