It's time to get
psyched for another season of girls ice hockey!
When and
Where: Girls and
coaches may register to participate in TGHA for the 2007-08 season
on one of several dates.

Registration will be held on September 15 and September 16 at Team Formation
(tryouts). Players should arrive early enough to hand in their paperwork
and checks and to sign-in for team formation. Schedule is found below in
this Update.*

# Attached is a
flier that has been distributed at schools to announce Sept. 16 registration
for newcomer hockey players for both IYHA and TGHA;
feel free to share it with your friends, family, neighbors, work colleagues,
etc.
Another flier
will be created to announce the special events in October, but you can tell
people you know about the events designed for newcomers--Try Girls Hockey
is when beginners put on equipment and hold a stick while skating with
current players and coaches welcoming them. Beginning hockey players
skate and socialize with returning TGHA members at the annual fun Open
House. Information and a chance to register occur both Mondays Oct.
22 and 29.
If you are unable to attend a registration session, I’m happy to find a time to
be available to collect your forms and fees. Please contact me, Cathy

If you are coming to TGHA from another
association, you need to bring your official release paperwork
from your previous association.
Payment will be collected at the time
of registration as follows (see season fee information below;
checks to TGHA; we are unable to process credit card payments):
Travel Teams: $25 Team Formation fee plus $75 deposit
toward season fees
($100 total)
Recreation: $75 deposit
toward season fees
House:

Full fees are payable
in 1 check or 2 checks, each for ½ the season fee amount, at the time of
registration, the first check with the current date and the second check dated
no later than Dec. 31, 2007.

2007-08 Season Program Fees
Season Program Fees for Travel Teams will be determined following the Team
Formation process since the number of teams, age groups and participant fees
are based on this year's participation. Ranges are announced as of
Registration payment for Travel Team participants will be $100 ($75 deposit
toward the season fee plus $25 for team formation) and $75 for Recreation
participants as a deposit toward the season fee.

19U is planned with one practice per week and 10 home games.
14U and 16U have two practices per week and 15 home games.

Each team has one tournament fee covered by registration fees.

Please arrive at
The RINK in time to register, check-in for Team Formation, get in hockey gear,
and be ready 15 minutes
before the ice time to hear from the Travel Team coaches about the process.

Girls must attend the Team Formation sessions for the age group that matches
their birthdate. Girls who wish to be
considered to play on a team at an age group above their own age group must
communicate this with the coaches of both age groups in question prior to the
weekend of Team Formation, attend their age-appropriate ice time, and may also
attend ice times for the older team. Follow this link for TGHA's

What is House, Recreation and
Initiation?
Regular Season information will soon be announced (and distributed at the Sept.
16 Registration Day), as well as the Preseason Skates schedule for those who
register before Open House.
Open House gathers all members of the TGHA community together so mark your
calendars. It's our 35th Anniversary so get ready to celebrate as well as
enjoy the season.
Try Girls Hockey is a chance for newcomers to experience wearing hockey
equipment, holding a stick, smiling through a face protector, etc.!
Continuing members are encouraged to attend to assist newcomers...
Initiation= beginners of any age learn to skate in hockey skates and play the
game
House= after Initiation, elementary and middle school girls play House where
they learn more and play hockey
Recreation=middle and high school girls who have completed Initiation, but are
not interested in playing on a Travel Team

contribution. TGHA is a qualified organization. TGHA can provide you with
a letter for your tax records, but we don't have any way to appraise your
donations. IRS Publication 526 has more info on charitable
