One more
board position is open. Sometimes two individuals or a couple will share a
board position. If you would like to discuss this, contact Mary or Matt asap.
This
meeting will include reorganization of the board and planning for the next
season. It's a great time to get involved with TGHA!

Service League Thrift Shop
The
Service League is a nonprofit organization which operates a "gently
used" clothing shop, staffed by volunteers. The Shop was founded by six
local women and opened for business in 1949. In 1960 the Shop moved to its
present location in the lower level of the Women's
The
Service League accepts "gently used" clothing and footwear on
consignment and donation for resale. After careful consideration of grant
applicants, the Board distributes proceeds to nonprofit organizations in
The
Service League is staffed with approximately 100 volunteers and is always
looking for new volunteers. We welcome men and women of all ages who are
interested in performing a service for the community.

Consignors
& Donors
The Shop
accepts 10 items/week from a consignor and/or family. The consignment period is
4 weeks. Items not sold within the period can be reclaimed or they become
property of the Shop. The consignor receives two-thirds of the selling price.
(The Service League retains one-third) Donations are accepted, but must meet
the same criteria as consigned clothing and footwear. Accessories accepted only
as donations: belts, bras, gloves, hats, hosiery, mittens, purses, scarves,
ties, and underwear.
Customers
The Shop
has a selection of seasonal clothing for infants, toddlers, preteens, juniors, women
in a full range of sizes, men and boys. Newly consigned items are priced and
hung on the racks twice a week. Brand names may include Pendleton, Liz Wear,
GAP, London Fog, Talbot, etc. The Shop provides dressing rooms.
