Pancake Breakfast

 

On Sunday, Feb. 10, the Ithaca Shooting Stars 19U girls hockey team will hold a Pancake Breakfast at the Moose Lodge, 367 Elmira Road, from 8:00 am - 12:00 noon. They are raising funds, with the help of the Moose Lodge, to cover the cost of participating in hockey tournaments. Tickets ($5.00 a person) are available at the door or in advance from members of the team.

 

Pink at the Rink

 

Attention All Cub Club Members (and TGHA Players) !!!

 

Help spread the word, tell a friend, better yet bring a friend. Let’s see how many people we can get to Lynah this weekend.

 

This Friday and Saturday the ECAC and Cornell Hockey will hold its inaugural "Pink in the

Rink" event to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. All of the ECAC women's teams will sport specially designed pink jerseys which will then be auctioned off via internet (computer terminals will be available at Lynah!) with all funds going to cancer awareness and prevention. There will also be a 50/50 and other special events throughout this weekends home games. You can find more info at www.ecachockey.com click Women's!

 

Coach Derraugh would like everyone who attends to wear pink if possible. Come show your support for your big sisters and the entire Cornell team and help them raise funds for a great cause. It promises to be a fun weekend with great photo opportunities! If you haven't been able to make it to a game this year this would be an excellent time!

NYSGVIHL Final Four

 

This Saturday and Sunday Feb. 9 and 10 is the Final Four tournament for the New York State Girls Varsity Ice Hockey League.  It will be held at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center.  Canton and Potsdam High School girls will play in one semi-final and Salmon River and Oswego in the other.  They are set for 10:00 am and 7:30 pm with the Oswego Lakers Women's Hockey team playing Utica College Women at 3:00 p.m. On Sunday, the consolation game will be at 12:00 noon and the championship game will follow at 3:00 p.m. Results will be posted at www.northcountrysports.net. (Ithaca was second in the league last year, and hopes to return to the Final Four in 2008-09.)
