Pink at the Rink Updated

The "Pink at the Rink" initiative to fight cancer between the ECAC and the American Cancer Society is a bit behind schedule.

The website www.ecachockeycoachesvscancer.com is now scheduled to be running  on Feb. 1 and the bidding on the jerseys will begin on Feb. 8th. at that site.

The Cornell Women's team will still be wearing the jerseys on February 8th and 9th when they play Clarkson and St. Lawrence at Lynah.  ECAC hockey women's teams will be wearing pink jerseys for their home games February 8, 9 and February 15, 16.

All of the Pink jerseys will be auctioned off for a minimum bid of $150 beginning on Feb. 8th at 9am and ending February 17th at 9 am. The cost of the production of the jerseys was small and the difference between the cost of the jersey and the price sold will all go to the Pink at the Rink fundraiser.  There is also a buy it now feature to guarantee the jersey for $250.

If anyone would like to donate to the cause itself.  Please make a check to the ECAC Hockey/CVC and all of the money will be pooled and a big check will be given to the American Cancer Society.

Thanks again for your support and please help us fight cancer alongside the American Cancer Society.

Spring Women's Hockey

We received this message from Myra Hubbell (mhubbell@hotmail.com) and Karen Bennett (broganbennett@yahoo.com) for girls age 14 and up (or who are OKed by the organizers):

It is that time again to start thinking of Women's Spring league. We are gonna start 1 week earlier (end of March) and only go for 12 weeks - so that we avoid graduation and Regents at the end of June. We will also split time between Lynah and The RINK to save money. Substitutes will pay $12 per game or $15 for both games.

So, if everyone could start recruiting players and possibly sponsors to help. We will try and collect sponsor money by February 28th so that we know how much to collect from players. we also need goalies - even if a goalie wants to play out one game and play goalie the other game. Goalies are free!!!

Contact myself or Myra if you have questions.
