Silver Stick Tournament
The Silver Stick
Tournament is this weekend, and we'll have loads of exciting
hockey!?nbsp; I encourage all to come up to the Rink and see some
of the best hockey around, at all four age levels.?nbsp; The
tournament schedule is on our web site at
http://www.ithacahockey.com/silverstick/sched2003.htm.?nbsp;
Our Shooting Stars teams would really appreciate some enthusiastic
fans at their games.?nbsp; Admission is free.

In addition to great hockey, the tournament is a fund raiser
for all of TGHA.?nbsp; We're asking all TGHA member to help out in
some way.?nbsp; Each of the travel teams is responsible for
covering off-ice officials, so please contact your team manager to
sign up if you haven't already done so.?nbsp; We're asking
Initiation and House skaters to help out with "chuck-a-puck"
during each game, so please contact Matt Ulinski (mu25@cornell.edu)
or Cindy Bray (cindybray@netzero.net)

out with that.?nbsp; If you're a Rec player and want to help out
at the information desk, please contact me.?nbsp; If you're free
Friday morning and want to help get the Rink ready for the
tournament, please contact me.

We're also having some raffles at the
tournament.?nbsp; In addition to the Drew Bledsoe autographed
football, we'll raffle a Team USA jersey autographed by the
women's Olympic team, Olympic pucks, Cornell hockey items, ESPN
signed shirts, and a stick autographed by Ithacan and LA Kings
player Dustin Brown.

Drew Bledsoe Autographed Football Raffle
-- a couple of weeks ago we distributed raffle tickets for a
football autographed by Bills Quarterback Drew Bledsoe.?nbsp;
We'll be raffling off that football at the Silver Stick Tournament
this Sunday.?nbsp; Please turn in all raffle tickets and money
either to your team manager this week, or at the tournament this
weekend.?nbsp; Remember that the proceeds benefit two wonderful
causes -- TGHA and Parenting with Dignity, a program which
advocates positive parenting.?nbsp; If you need more raffle
tickets, please contact either your team manager or Rosie Mayer,
or come up to the Rink on Friday or Saturday.

TGHA Benefits from Cornell Event
This Friday and Saturday when Cornell men's hockey faces Brown
and Harvard, the Cornell Class Councils (freshmen, sophomore....)
are having a unique and fun fund raiser which will benefit TGHA
and IYHA!
As fans arrive on Friday they will be asked to buy raffle
tickets. The names drawn will participate in a Cornell hockey
trivia contest on the ice in between second and third periods.
The two top trivia players will return Saturday to try to shoot on
goal (through an obstacle) and possibly win $10,000!! Each raffle
ticket is $2.00, or seven for $10. Those who donate $4.00 or more
will get a foam Lynah Faithful hockey stick!
