August 25 Travel Teams Gathering

Players and parents who are interested in participating in TGHA's travel teams this season (12U, 14U, 16U and 19U Shooting Stars) are encouraged to attend a gathering next Wednesday August 25 at 6:00 p.m. in the Bartels Hall corridor overlooking Lynah Rink. We hope it will be a fun social gathering as well as a time for TGHA to make announcements about the coming season and address questions. Bring a snack or a dessert to share; beverages will be provided. About 6:30 there will be some speeches geared to the adults. It is also the final Wednesday of the summer program so some girls will be going on the ice at 7:00 and others at 7:45 p.m. Any girl who wishes to skate this week can do so even if they haven't been attending this summer (12U and 14U from 7:00-8:15, 16U and 19U from 7:45-9:00).

If you cannot attend on August 25 but have general questions about the upcoming season, you can reply to this email in order to get copies of the handouts and express your interest in the upcoming travel season. The practice schedule, preseason ice schedule, tryout schedule, registration procedure, and tentative fee structure will be announced.

September 12 General Registration

TGHA and IYHA annual hold their general season registration together at The FIELD.  More details will be forthcoming about the Sunday, September 12 event. 

Newcomers to TGHA can register on September 12 or at one of two season kickoff (faceoff!) events Monday October 25 or Monday November 1.

Learn to Referee

Girls who are at least 12 years old and have a good understanding of hockey can participate in basic referee education in Ithaca described below.  There are other dates in other communities if you are interested.
