Notice about a summer program at The RINK
Dear Ithaca Hockey Players,
The Sport International Hockey Academy is gearing up for an exciting 17th
summer of hockey instruction. We will be visiting 33 cities nationwide and our staff of highly qualified college, European & North American
pro players are ready to teach your son or daughter how to play the game
more effectively and increase their level of fun, within the game of hockey.
Our camp will be conducted, (August. 21 - 25 at "The Rink")
We will be offering our FULL DAY program to players aged 6 - 17 years, and all
players will be appropriately grouped by age & ability. Each player will
receive 15 hours of on-ice instruction (power skating, puckhandling,
shooting, passing and checking instruction). Each player will also benefit from
our highly motivated 25 hour off-ice program (individualized video analysis,
off-ice shooting, Russian Training, lectures, recreation & lunch program).
GOALIES: Each goalie will receive 90 minutes of 1 on 1 goalie
instruction, from our Goaltending Instructor each morning (Stance & Angles,
Pad Saves, Glove Saves & Break-Away Saves). The
goalies would then finish the day with their group (8 players, 2 goalies) and
return to the ice for their 90 minute afternoon session, concentrating on;
Defending against the 2 on 0, the 2 on 1, the 1 on 1 and the break-away. At the
end of each day, the goalie will sit down with their Goaltending Instructor, to
be completely video analyzed in every aspect of the "drill of the
day". This entire video analysis process, would
be recorded to his/her take-home VHS tape or DVD. This is clearly our best
guarantee, for a quality goaltending instructional experience.
