Next Board Meeting/Election Results

 

Mark your calendars for Wednesday June 6 at 7:00 p.m. for the next TGHA Board Meeting at the Cayuga Heights Fire Station.

 

The TGAA annual meeting has been postponed until June 6 so that will be the first and brief agenda item and then the board will work on organizing themselves and the association for the coming year.  Next season will be TGHA's 35th Anniversary and we hope to continue to grow in size and quality! 

 

There are two more openings on the TGHA board.  We will be calling some parents and coaches to encourage them to get involved, but you don't need to wait to be called....Carol is 342-1475 or reply to this email newsletter!

Message from Assistant Coach Dani:

 

Our summer camp runs from July 29-August 2.  The age range varies from 12-18.  The camp will service commuters and overnighters.  We also added the day camp starting July 30 (ages 8-11 or less experienced girls) to appeal to more of our local girls. Obviously we'd love to have as many of our TGHA girls come out as possible. 

 

We are really excited about the counselors who will be working our camp as well.  In addition to having some of our team members staying over the summer and helping out, we've invited back three past campers who have played ice hockey locally and collegiately--Lucy Schoedel, Jill Cater Cyker and Maura Grainger.  I'm looking forward to a great week!

May 11th-13th marks the 2nd Annual Queen Victoria Tournament, a 6-team adult women's hockey tournament taking place at The Rink.  Last year, TGHA was able to assist by providing volunteers to work the clock, as well as seeking out contributions from TGHA alumni.  We are again looking for helpers to either work the clock, assist kids at the craft table, or sell tournament water bottles.  Games run from 8:30 pm-midnight on Friday.  They start up again on Saturday at 9 am and run through 7 pm.  If you'd like to come out to see some of the action, or if you would like to contribute in some way, please get in touch with me for more details on how you can help!  My email is kellypike21@hotmail.com
