Team USA Close to Gold Win

Go to
www.usahockey.com to read how well Team USA did in this year's World Championships! They were undefeated in the preliminary round including a 3-1 win over Canada, but they fell to Canada 2-0 in the Gold Medal Game.  I listened to the live audiocast on the web, but now it appears we can see the game on "tape delay" on cable television!

Girl Scout Director to Discuss What Girls Fear

On Wednesday, April 21, the Ithaca Branch of the American Association of University Women will host a talk by Judith Gallagher, Communications Director at Girl Scouts - Seven Lakes Council, Inc. To better understand how girls perceive safety, the Girl Scout Research Institute conducted a national study of 2,341 girls, ages 8-17.?nbsp; The study's findings include a description of how preteen and teen girls define safety, the costs associated with feeling unsafe, and coping strategies.
