Ithaca 19U Shooting Stars Open Season

The Ithaca Shooting Stars 19U girls hockey team opened
its 2008-09 season with three games against other 19U teams recording two wins
and one loss.
When facing the Brewster 19Us, Shooting Stars alumna Karen Uber
served as Brewster's substitute goalie. Uber
stopped all 40 shots by the current Ithaca 19Us helping the visiting team win
1-0.
The Susquehanna Rapids team from Maryland included Sara and Dalia Naguib who began their hockey careers when living in
Ithaca. The locals won 3-1 with Sarah Eisenhut
stopping 18 shots and former teammate Dalia Naguib
stopped 39 shots. Ithaca goals were scored by Cole, Long and Krystalyn Yonkin. Emily Eisenhut
made two assists, and Carrie Wilder, Long and Klick
each recorded one.
