The
Ithaca 19U and
12U Shooting Stars teams were victorious in all of their games last
weekend. The 12Us defeated the Clifton Park Eagles 12Us, 6-1, and
the Adirondack Northstars 12Us, 4-3; while the
19Us won over the Adirondack Northstars 19U, 4-0, and
the Mohawk Valley Herricanes 19Us, 5-2.
The 12U Shooting Stars outshot Clifton
Park 26-7 and
received a pair of goals each from Anastasia Lyon and Zoe Seznec Sweetland, and single
tallies from Anna Kirkwood and Paige Johnson, the last assisted by Sophie Partington.
They outlasted
Adirondack with goalie Caitlyn Whittaker
stopping 17 shots. Seznec Sweetland scored assisted by Kirkwood and Partington.
Ellie Muckstadt also scored assisted by Johnson.
Sacha Rady scored the final
two goals including one unassisted and one helped by Johnson and Seznec Sweetland.
Against Adirondack, the Ithaca
19U goalie Sarah Eisenhut had a shutout stopping 15
shots while the opposing goalie made 27 saves. Erin Grainger scored
twice, once unassisted and one assisted by Eisenhut.
Ali Pace scored one assisted by Hannah Golay, and Golay recorded one herself helped by Pace and Krystalyn Yonkin. Eisenhut stopped
24 shots from the Mohawk
Valley 19Us. Katie
Long scored four of the team's five goals with two unassisted and two assisted
by Emily Eisenhut and Lauren Cole. Eisenhut also scored assisted by Long.
